Dr Timothy Hsi, EMDR Specialist
Dr. Tim is a highly skilled EMDR therapist with over 25 years of experience in mental health and Level 4 registration with the Australian Counselling Association. His expertise in EMDR has helped numerous clients overcome trauma and complex mental health challenges. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, he empowers individuals to achieve meaningful breakthroughs.
As a Senior Lecturer at the Australian College of Applied Professions, Dr. Tim is passionate about shaping the next generation of counselors. Known for his inspiring teaching style and mentorship, he has received several awards for his dedication to guiding and motivating students. His students describe him as an exceptional mentor who goes above and beyond to support their growth.
Dr. Tim is also the founder of Abundanz Consulting, a leading career development firm in Asia, where he blends counseling expertise with strategic career coaching. His innovative programs have helped countless individuals achieve career success. Additionally, as President of the Career Development Association of Singapore, he champions professional growth for career practitioners and elevates the field of career development.

Carola Maier, Psychotherapist
Throughout Carola’s career, she has gained extensive experience in working with individuals who navigate the Human Service Systems and face various psychological conditions such as trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, grief and loss, and low self-esteem. This experience stems from her work in the human service sector, including disability, homelessness, foster care, long-term unemployment, Quitline, and Victim Support Service. Carola is a clinical member with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
Carola provides support, advocacy and counselling for injured workers on Return to Work SA or WorkCover. In this role she can assist you in several ways, including:
- Assisting in the recovery form depression and anxiety
- Rebuilding self-confidence and self-esteem
- Helping you to create an independent plan for your recovery
- Accompanying and supporting you when attending WorkCover or employer meetings
- Assistance in reintegration into the existing workplace or support in moving into a new workplace or career path
- Assistance in dealing with workplace bullying and unrealistic expectations
- Providing advocacy if you experience difficulty with service providers or employers
Alison Kirk, EMDR Specialist
Alison is a highly experienced clinical counsellor who adopts a compassionate, person-centered approach, integrating therapeutic methods such as EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has supported clients facing mental health and trauma-related challenges, including abuse, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and relationship difficulties. Alison now accepts clients through Return to Work SA, WorkCover, and private health coverage.
With extensive experience, Alison has also delivered psycho-educational workshops to professionals and organizations on topics like trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and workplace relationships. She is a seasoned lecturer at the Australian College of Applied Professions, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate counselling programs.
Alison is accredited with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. She adheres to PACFA’s Code of Ethics and engages in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision to ensure high-quality practice.
Alison holds a Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Counselling), a Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies, and additional qualifications in relevant fields. Her dedication to client care, education, and ethical practice makes her a trusted professional in counselling and mental health support.
Abi Catchlove, Psychotherapist
For over five years, Masters-qualified and Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia Clinical Counsellor Abi has worked with individuals and couples as a grief specialist, and with an Internal Family Systems-informed lens. She believes holding space begins with a grounded sense of presence. As such, her counselling practices are guided by authenticity, curiosity and empathy; honouring you as the expert in your life. With safety, trust and connection, her heartfelt intention is to listen to understand, and help you navigate towards deeper self-understanding, which can make room for healing.
Working extensively with culturally diverse communities across education and therapeutic settings has provided Abi with a foundation grounded in creative and mindful-based practices, while integrating Eastern philosophies.
She offers a safe space to explore the depths and nuance of personhood, whether that is navigating grief, anxiety, people-pleasing, feeling lost or disconnected, relational challenges, stress, trauma or low self-worth. Abi is honoured to be present with our clients and their human experience – however that looks and feels.
